Meet Melissa I!

Posted by Sarah on Jun 09, 2008

We are now rollin’ two Melissas deep! Melissa P, who you all may know as our intrepid knitting guru and all around craft all-star (I said all too many times, but I don’t care!), and now Melissa I!

Melissa I. is our new front desk jockey - she will be the beaming smile when you first walk into Sew Crafty and she’s awesome. As in “I’m closing this sentence out with a period because it’s definitive. That’s how awesome Melissa I is”. Experience the awesomeness for yourself next time you stop by…

*Explanation: In the photo, Debora is taking of picture of Melissa pretending to knit and I’m taking a picture of the whole thing (so, so meta).

This week’s pick comes from Leni - who is awesome!

Leni and Jessica were dilligently making dresses today and Leni mentioned her latest Etsy find - a cactus pincushion! How freakin’ cool!

Crafts are my boyfriend. Blogs are my best friend!

Posted by Sarah on Jun 07, 2008

My husband is a bit jealous. Since starting Sew Crafty, my attention has been even more focused on all things crafty. What am I currently obsessed with, besides Gocco and sewing? Craft blogs.

I’m somewhat new to the blogsphere, but my Google Reader overfloeth with many inspirational sites. Here are a few of my favorites:
Angry Chicken

Craft Zine

Oh Flickr - How Do I Love Thee…

Posted by Sarah on Jun 03, 2008

I love photos and the internet. Thus, it stands to be reasoned that I love Flickr. I can post photos from our classes, of our crafter’s creations and have another way to keep in touch with our students through our I Made it at Sew Crafty Houston! photo pool.

If you made something cool at one of our classes or want to show of a new skill you learned at Sew Crafty (like making felt tote bags!) post a photo!
